About
Heartland Red Angus
Our Farm
Breeding Excellence Since 2006
Heartlands cattle enterprise is located at Wallamore near Tamworth and situated at property Mossvale. The property itself is 95% arable and is very versatile for cropping and grazing. There is a combination of flat cropping country, gently undulating grazing to timbered low hill country which the cattle enjoy spending time in summer & winter protecting them from the extreme heat of summer and the cold winter winds.
Each year crops are grown to sustain our cattle's nutritional requirements. Cattle enjoy roaming the picturesque paddocks of Mossvale, whilst tending to their calves. Dry land cereal crops of barley, oats and wheat are also grown for grain harvest and hay making in a wholistic approach to our cattle management practices.
The family focuses on good farming practices in an environmentally friendly way with every effort made to work with nature and sustainable farming.
Mossvale is situated in the dress circle of the Tamworth region being just 16km from the CBD, 5km to the regional livestock selling facility and Tamworth Regional Airport making it very easy to drop in, enjoy a cuppa & cake whilst discussing your next bull, female or genetic purchase.

Our Story
Local Family Farm
Heartland Red Angus Stud Stock Operation was established in 2006 by Tamworth born & bred locals Peter & Trina Redgwell.
Over the years the Redgwell Family have focused on breeding quality Red Angus Seedstock, maintaining traits of fertility, moderate frame, functional & adaptable cattle.
In 2025 Black Angus cattle have also been added to our seedstock operation with the purchase of Myers Lady Annie V4 at the World Angus Forum Expo.
Our family owned & operated livestock operation is conducted at dress circle property 'Mossvale' just a short 15 minute drive from Tamworth's CBD. The program is heavily focused on expanding the genetic diversity of the red angus breed via artificial breeding.
Bulls, females & genetics are available on farm or via select sales each year. Contact Peter or Trina for more information and to discuss your breeding requirements.
