Our Story
Red Angus Cattle
Females
Heartland Red Angus purchased the first of their stud females at the 2006 National Show & Sale and further females added in subsequent years.
The breeding program focuses on moderate framed, highly maternal females, with no compromise on fertility, temperaments or efficiency. We have a high emphasis on longevity, foot structure and milk production.
Heartland females must possess superior maternal attributes. Heifers are joined either by Artificial insemination or natural cover at approximately 15 months to calve as 2 year olds. Adding to the constitution of our ethos; fertile, function and profitable.
Cows and heifers are expected to calve at pasture with no intervention. Standing true to the expectation and reality of Red Angus calving ease.
Males
Heartland Red Angus takes pride in offering high-quality Red and Black Angus bulls.
Our bulls are bred with a focus on maintaining the traits of the breed, including fertility, moderate frame and adaptability.
There is no compromise on temperament. We are dedicated to providing superior genetics via the use of in house Artificial Insemination to a wide range of International Sires to enhance herd performance and profitability.
A great deal of time and consideration has been placed into purchasing cover bulls that are genetically unique to further expand the Heartland gene pool.
Our bulls are available for on-farm viewing and purchase, as well as through select sales events each year. Contact us to learn more about our available genetics and to discuss your breeding goals.
